My first real experience with photography started with what was supposed to be only a semester long class of black and white film photography at Montana State University. After a couple of years spent working in the darkroom developing my own film and making prints I was hooked, and it wasn't long before my camera was one of my most prized possessions.
I consider myself to be a documentary and lifestyle wedding photographer, but I know that the job of the wedding photographer goes above and beyond capturing photos. It is my goal with every wedding I photograph to create a fun and yet relaxed atmosphere. I give direction and posing when its needed, but I do my best to let the moments unfold on their own and document them as naturally as possible.
I photographed my first wedding in 2009 and every wedding I have photographed since only reaffirms my passion for what I do. I truly enjoy working with the people I get to meet and am grateful for the new friends I have made along the way.
Outside of the world of photography I am very much an animal person, My fiancé and I have 2 German shepherds as well as 2 cats. I am also an avid movie enthusiast and I can probably be found at the movie theater a couple of times a month. I have been renovating our basement to act as our home theater, complete with surround sound, popcorn machine, and kegerator. During the summers (when I'm not at weddings or editing photos) I also love to hit up the disk golf courses or spend time hiking and camping in the mountains that surround North Idaho.
